Life... Make It As You Like

 Today will once again be a weird kind of entry. I have so much on my mind that I don't even know where to begin... but as a friend said to me the other day, "The beginning of the middle of the beginning of the end." I talk a lot about religion and spirituality. I am going to start with a warning that this blurb may not be so PC that people will want it to be. I have ZERO problems with whatever people want to believe, my issue is shoving belief systems down others throats. Don't get it twisted, I am all for learning about different religions and belief systems and I can appreciate a good conversation about it, as long as everyone stays open minded and can respect others views as just that. You don't have to agree with everyone nor everything, just respect it.

I am not going to go into a deep story right now, but I am not a church goer at all. I DO believe in God, but I think organized religion is horrible. I feel that your relationship with God or whoever you worship, is between you and Him. You don't have to go into some building once or twice a week to worship and have faith... that mentality doesn't make sense to me. As a spiritual person, I feel more "one with God" when I am in nature... bare feet in the grass, wading through a rippling creek... listening to the rustle of the leaves... thunder and lightning... even dancing in the rain. To me, nature IS God (or whatever name you use for your higher being).

I can proudly say, I have studied quite a few religions and ways of life; many of which I have meshed into my own belief system; but honestly, if you were forced to put a label on me... I would have to say I side with Wicca the most. I know, people can step back a few steps as they hear the word and instantly think "evil" or "hexes"... but let me tell you, Wicca is no different than Christianity or Catholicism or Orthodox or Judaism, etc... we all have a higher power for one and the second thing, (which people find harder to hear or should I say comprehend, is this...) I preach this all the time...

YOU CANNOT BELIEVE IN GOD, IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE DEVIL. THERE IS NOT SUCH THING AS GOOD, WITHOUT THERE BEING EVIL/BAD. THERE IS NO LIGHT IF THERE IS NO DARKNESS. THERE IS A YIN TO EVERY YANG!!!

People are all born with free-will... I firmly believe that everyone has to make a choice and sometimes those choices can get a little blurry. The world is not just black and white, there is a lot of red (or gray, whichever colour you prefer), in it too. Sometimes "evil" is necessary to see the good... it's a very difficult but very real life lesson.

I think the main reason this is weighing on my mind today is I really lost sight of my beliefs and what I believe to my very core, and I need to get that back, all of it. To some, religion and any beliefs are not important to them nor their lives but I think it is a very important conversation people need to have. I will NOT infringe my beliefs on anyone, but I am more than willing to help those who want to learn more; not that I know everything... I, too, am always thriving for knowledge.

The one thing I can leave you with today is this... please look around, be more aware of your surroundings, there are signs everywhere to guide you. Signs that can be as simple as the bird you see, to how many you see. It can be the way greenery/nature is swaying, or how the leaves are positioned, to the phases of the moon, to the shifting of the planets... everything is a sign; if you keep an open mind, you will start to see them, more and more frequently and it is quite an amazing journey to enlightenment... can get a little scary, as most people fear the "unknown"... I am actually going to encourage you to embrace it. Challenge it.

Good evening lovies. I have been struggling with something that is very close to my heart. I truly do not know where to proceed next. I'm going to try and make a very long story as simple as I can... I was adopted at 5months of age, (well apprehended at 5 months, adopted at 5 years). There is something that adoptees yearn for all their lives... WHY?  I know for me there were many questions and on my 19th birthday it appeared I was going to get those answers when I met the woman who birthed me. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken!!! Tis the Season.... Why I Am Proud of Local Tattoo Shop!!!

  Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
