Free HealthCare? For Who???
I don't really have a salutation for this blurb as I am a bit frustrated today. Without getting too indepth with things, y'all know that we get free healthcare here in Canada, at least in Ontario, I can't speak for the other provinces and territories because it's been a bit since I lived in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick; but here it is supposed to be free.... well let me tell you what that looks like...
For the most part I cannot complain, because I absolutely love my family doctor and would have recommended him over and over to those who needed one. I am very fond of my urologist and my heamtologist/oncologist... It's these specialists I have problems with... They don't communicate with each other, and definitely don't share results or information with my family physician.
There is one HUGE thing that irks me with these specialists... the fact that they feel their time is more valuable than everyone else's.
One example of that, is my cardiologist (although he is no longer my cardiologist, I got a new one)... I spent 6 hours at his office, two hours past my appointment time, he finally graced me with his presence, spent an hour showing him my list of medications on my phone and he was perturbed that I had the list on my phone rather than a piece of paper. I told him to call my doctor or my pharmacy if he wants a paper copy. Another two hours for testing because I was having heart palpatations right there in his office, so he wanted me to do an ultrasound and EKG, etc... Honestly it was probably just the stress and anxiety of sitting there all day. Finally we meet in his office, where he spent 5 minutes explaining, what's going on with my heart and spends the rest of the time pressuring me to buy the book he wrote... FYI. Buying that book is now a requirement to have him as your cardiologist... so I warn everyone to stay away from him.
Just saying!!!
Be blessed y'all
