Let's Get This Right....

I am back and this time I am here to discuss something that the world seems to be either forgetting, or choosing to ignore and once again, it is getting rather tiresome.

I really don't care what term people use when they are speaking about me, because most of my brothers and friends, know my pronouns are "bitch" and "witch"... LOL Believe them when they say that!!! I don't take offense to anything people call me, because as I keep preaching, what you think of me is not my business; just as what I truly think of each of you, is my own personal opinion; doesn't mean that is actually what and who you are. Does that make sense???

The thing I am taking society to "task" for these days, is their lack of knowledge when it comes to terminology of the Craft. To begin, I call them "witches" as it seems to be the general gender neutral name. They are also called "warlocks" and "wizards"; but to me, those words are more for fantasy movies. I know, I am not being so PC about this, but that is perfectly fine with me.

I was raised to believe that warlock and wizard are not terminology used in the actual Craft; but I could be wrong... I am just being straight up with y'all.

Now if you really want to get technical with the terms, a warlock is the term for the darker side of the craft, where a wizard is considered a light worker.  Warlocks are good at manipulating people and deceiving them while wizards are usually allies and want to help people accomplish their goals, as long as they are for the light side. Now here is where it gets a bit tricky, because if you were to look it up, the same crap on the internet that tells you "warlock" is for the darker work and are in general not good people, they say that the female version of a warlock is a "WITCH"!!! How so?

I guess what I am trying to say, I use the word "witch" for anyone who works in the Craft and I will continue to use the terminology I have used for the past 35 years; nothing the internet or this PC world says is going to change what has been around for centuries. I DO want to divulge a little on the word "witch" and people's perception on it/them/me....

For centuries, possibly milleniums, people have always looked at the Craft as evil or that we only curse people and work for none other than the Devil. Here is a friendly reminded that witchcraft and Paganism have been here since the beginning of time, LONG before Christianity was a thing... read it in your very Bible, that brings up witchcraft... a book that was supposedly created/written BEFORE the term "Christian" even existed. I am here to debunk that insanity.

SOOOOOO, even before I write that, you need to have an open mind, or don't bother continuing reading because I am not here for the BS, or being told I am evil. If you truly knew your history, you would really know that we are far from it, and before you get all Biblical on religious on me... just know, I have been there and done that. I am well versed on the Bible and things you may want to throw at me. I don't have the time nor patience to deal with ignorance. If you'd like to have a respectful conversation, I am absolutely open to hearing what you have to say, but then I fully expect the same in return; if you cannot do that, than I have ZERO interest in what you have to say.

Now, to continue with what I have to say...

The Craft, like everything else in our world, has light and darkness. You cannot have good without bad/evil... it just doesn't work like that. There is nothing in our existence that is simply, fully one way or the other. I prefer to use the term "grey", which literally means neutral or is an achromatic colour, literally meaning that it is "without colour" because if consists of ONLY black and white (both of which are not colours, they are SHADES!!!) I am 100% a grey witch. I cannot tell you if I am a darker grey, or a lighter grey because again, it would depend on the circumstance and what was needed to be done and why it is being done. I leave that up to others to decide as I don't care either way; I just need people to acknowledge that in all things there is light and dark.

As a wise friend has told me, (May her soul rest until we meet on the next plane), each and everyone of us beings have cracks... we have those cracks so that the light from within may shine through, even in the darkest of times. I know I am not using the exact words, but she is a very old, wise soul who was a beautiful teacher in her own way. You get the gist of what I am saying though.

Our society, and many before it, have decided to paint Witches as an evil entity; but have you really studied history... like REALLY looked at the history? I am going to give you a prime example... Salem, Mass... not one of the people killed, or rather I should say, murdered, were witches. This is why I will never set foot in Salem, there is so much sadness and rage in those grounds that I do not want to ever be there, nor entertain a period of history that is based on utter insanity.

Let's continue with Salem's history for a second though...

Everyone say they were witches and needed to be tested, persecuted, burned, maimed, hung... do I need to continue? Now that we know the persecution was to literally innocent people, let's look at who the real monsters were then.... CHRISTIANS!!! You call us who practice the gifts we were given, people who literally "worship" and live through nature, evil and the most dangerous people ever... but what about your very own religious beliefs that allowed these kinds of things happen? They are still happening today... the stigma attached to being a "witch" is utterly ridiculous.

You go ahead and follow your belief system, and ill-informed religion and I will continue to say I am not religious; but I am very spiritual. And if you really want to be bring "God" (or whatever names you use for the higher being you worship), into this equation... if you unequivocally insist that everything happens because of him/her... than you also need to believe the gifts that we use and the nature we are part of, was given to us by that very higher power you are trying to use against me/us.

I am going to end this with what I always will... Stay safe. Stay warm. Be well. Be loved... but most of all BLESSED BE MY LOVIES
