My FB Post Inspired This...
Page 38 of 366. Good Morning y'all. I hope it's a great day for all of you, we're half way through the work week... you got this!!! Besides, this weekend is well worth the wait... Its not just a typical Sunday Funday. To me, it's the holiest day of the year... SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, and I am super stoked because my team is playing; and I am very confident they will win!!!
Anyways, this blurb isn't about how the 49ers rock, nor how I hope that Swifty falls off her high horse and realizes that football is about the sport, not Travis' flavour of the month...
I wanna talk about how I posted on my FB about how I am no longer being nice to people who don't reciprocate it. Well, let me tell you, that led to a few people voicing their opinions. I had to pause because I initially responded, but then deleted the entire post because I wasn't about to get into drama... especially this early in the fucking morning. LOL BUT it did inspire this blurb.
You know, for decades, Canadians have been viewed as the nicest and politest people in the world, unlike our neighbours to the south. I like to say that us Canadians are the politest in the world, but I have met people in various walks of life, from very different cultures and there are great people and some not so great ones in every bunch. Yes, I always felt that Canadians are very polite and welcoming.
Well, most of Canada. I find the East coast is far more inviting than the rest of Canada and I AM going to say, for the most part... Quebecers are rude as hell. I have only a couple people there that don't fit in this catergory, but let me tell you... them fkrs are rude as hell. They tend to believe they are their own country and choose to be utterly disrespectful to those who don't speak French. They seem to have forgotten that Canada has 2 languages... English and French.
When traveling to northern Quebec, you can hear them speaking English to each other, but as soon as you speak English to them, they shut up and act like they can't speak the language. I find that so ignorant. I DO speak both languages (among several others); so I do give them a taste of their own medicine. Like when you're in a restaurant, and they act like they cannot speak English, I will speak to them in either Italian, Greek, Portuguese or Spanish or even Dutch and German... I will tell them that English is recognized as one of the national languages of Canada and they should be using both. They then will respond in English and I will respond to them in French... Just to piss them off!!!
Unfortunately, our government and society in general has caused a lot of people to become bitter and tend to forget their manners. I have traveled quite a few places, and I can honestly say, the most welcoming people are in Europe; although I might be a bit biased on that view because it was also the same community that welcomed me when I was young and homeless... Yes, I am talking about Greeks!!!
I am also going to debunk the bullshit that Americans are all assholes. They have a bad reputation that seems a bit harsh because every American I have met has been polite, accommodating and nice... YES, I used that word... "Nice" is generally not in my vocabulary since it tends to be frowned upon for some fkd up reason. If I had to say which one of the states was the rudest, I would have to say Florida; which is odd, since it's the state that most "Snowbirds" go to in the winter months.
I guess I am kinda getting off track here!!!
What I DID want to bring up was this... Canadians are getting bitter due to circumstances surrounding them, and who can really blame them??? I find that the older generations are still very respectful and polite, for the most part. The newer generations are rude asf, and there is no way to correct them thanks to the government making it nearly impossible to raise our very own children the right way.
I am forever being the person who pushes manners on people... Prime example, most times when I am in vehicle with someone and we hit a drive-thru, it's like the driver's brain farts and just demand their orders... no "please" and no "thank you"... OMG that is one of my biggest pet peeves. I will purposely yell those words from the passenger seat. I don't give a rat's ass if you are talking to the president/CEO or the janitor; I was raised to treat them exactly the same way. I raised my children like this and was also teaching my grandbabies the same... Lord knows, who else will teach them how to show respect and that it takes nothing to be polite. However, there is a flip side to this too...
I am not one to take rudeness with a grain of salt. I am the type that if I hold a door open for you, and you don't say "Thank you", I will most definitely shout "You're welcome!!!" loud enough that those around you will KNOW that you're an ignorant asshole and I won't stand for it. You wanna be a douchecanoe? Then I will show you a bigger one... I will not stand for the lack of respect and common decency in this world. But again, how can we expect any different from this society... people who identify as animals or a different gender... BLAH BLAH FKN BLAH!!!
My final question is this...
How do we expect this generation to know or do anything correctly when they can't even recognize who they are. No matter what you identify as, there are still only TWO genders... you can TRY to say otherwise... facts are facts. Frankly, if you can't your head from a hole in your ass, then you may as well get off my blog because I am using terms you cannot understand and I don't have time for stupid!!!
Stay safe. Stay warm. Be well. Be blessed. Much love and respect to all my lovies.
