It's Sunday Funday ~ What Y'all Doing

 

Page 84 of 366. I am in a restless kind of mood today. It's odd that I am taking such pleasure in writing again. I, for a long time, never thought I'd find true joy in it. I was writing as a job for a number of years; then I got too sick to write. Maybe one day I will get back into that, only if the company I worked for is still around; they were by far the most amazing people to work for.

I am quite pleased that my other blog is gaining attention too. I had originally thought about doing a podcast all about crime; but that seems to be the source of media most people are using right now... so I wanted to do more of my own thing, one I know I am really good at it. Again, I ask all of you, if there is a particular case you would like to hear about... just comment on the blog itself :)

I truly don't want to go into a big rant about all the BS happening in Canada right now... All I am going to say is that we as Canadian citizens are sitting ducks when it comes to our government. 

There was a vote in the House of Commons this past week, and for some insane reason, two of the political parties felt it was necessary to majorly increase the "carbon tax" on citizens; and NOT put a vote of no confidence in the usually twat that is running our country into the ground... we are all barely surviving as it is. 

The homelessness is something I have never seen so bad in the 48 years I have been alive. People are literally having to choose between food or shelter. Others are freezing to death or committing heinous crimes in order to survive. This truly should NOT be a first world country problem!!! SO while we are being taxed out of the ass, our government continues to send billions of dollars to Ukraine and other war-torn countries. What about us??? Your very own citizens who are suffering. 

And don't think for a moment that we are not going to be a war torn country ourselves soon... to me it is odd, that both the United States and Canada have the worst leaders we have ever seen. We've usually been peaceful with each other and kind of neutral when it comes to global problems, Not any more... Our countries both look super weak, our leadership is for the birds and half the people in our countries don't see a damn thing wrong. I gotta stop or I can rant forever about things that need to change, but honestly, in this society, who is listening other than the "wolves" who are in total agreement with me.

This is the last thing I am going to discuss on this blurb, but it is what Christians call "Easter Week". As you all know, I am not Christian, nor do I follow any man-made, organized religion. I just want to note that I fully appreciate how the Christians formed all their religious holidays based on Paganism rituals. 

A holiday named for the goddess is part of the neopagan Wiccan Wheel of the Year (Ostara, 21 March).

Ēostre is "associated with the coming of spring and the dawn, and her festival is celebrated at the spring equinox. Because she brings renewal, rebirth from the death of winter, some Heathens associate Ēostre with Iðunn, keeper of the apples of youth in Scandinavian mythology".

I am a few days late, but Happy Ostara to all. I hope you all have a bountiful Spring and may we all say "goodbye" to the winter season and welcome in the Spring.

Although I am not Christian, it doesn't mean I am completely ignorant when it comes to what this celebration means for them. So, I do wish my friends and loved ones, who believe in the Bible and Jesus, etc. I wish you all a Happy Easter.
