Just Waking Up, Grabbing GoGo Juice (Tea. Not Coffee)

Page 87 of 366. Good Morning y'all. Just grabbing my tea and I will be right with ya.... Hang on!!! Unlike all you people, I don't drink coffee... so let me appreciate the finer things in life; like a good ol spot o' tea. Don't worry, I don't stick my pinkie out as I sip it. I ain't that proper LOL

Well, it's Wednesday everyone; and for some odd reason, Wednesday has always been my favourite day of the week. I don't really know why, but I am assuming it's because its the middle of the work week and all you got to look forward to is the weekend now?!!

This weekend, however is a long weekend, as it is the Christian Easter wknd., which always drives me bonkers because the Orthodox (Greek) Easter isn't until May 5th this year. Someone please make this make sense. I mean, I know one religion goes by the Gregorian calendar and the other by the Julian calendar.

To be perfectly honest, I really don't care about why trivial things like dates are such a major problem between religions. Aren't y'all celebrating the same thing??? Don't you worship the same God??? Don't you believe in Mary giving birth to Jesus and all that entails??? So WHY such hatred amongst you???

Trust me, I am not bashing your beliefs on here. I am simply stating that there is so much stuff that is contradictory in the books you read, that it is as if I am reading...

Nostradamus, also known as Michel de Nostredame, this famous fortune teller who published a book back in 1555 in France that claimed to predict numerous future events through poems. We also have "The Pythia", a priestess worshiped by the Ancient Greeks who predicted future wars and answers to what would be national problems.

I think these books, among several others are very vague and left to the interpretation of the reader.

I am not saying who is right and who is wrong, because, for one, I am not the "all seeing" and for two, I tend to learn things from nature. Books, to me, are simple guidelines, or suggestions, at this point.

I DO want to point out that more and more people are beginning to follow the old ways; things made more sense then. Also, they are quickly learning that man-made religions are simply made for profit and to force people to conform to a certain way of thinking.

I am grateful that most of my friends are free-thinkers and understand that sitting on a wooden bench (pew) for several hours on a Sunday, doesn't make you a better person than someone who wanders barefoot in the woods, or a stream. You believe you need to congregate in a building in order to be considered a good Christian, where I feel that my "church" is in nature. I can sit on a log, on a rock, or lay in the grass, and I am still able to worship and be thankful for all the bounty we receieve.

We all tend to have the same core morals and values, so at the end of the day, does it really matter HOW we worship or to whom we worship to??? (Its an honest question!!!)

See, now I went WAYYYYY off track about what I was discussing LOL

So this weekend it is the Christian Easter, and it has been proven that the Christians manipulated many people over the years to conform to their days; convincing Pagans to follow... and they did it all with a LIE!!! They made up dates for Christian celebrations, close to the Pagan holidays, so that they may feel more comfortable. They took the Pagan traditions and changed them to have Christian meanings. Easter for you is Ostara for us; yet Ostara (March 20 or 21), has to do with the beginning of Spring; the celebration of the death of winter and the coming of the spring and the dawn.

Let's look at some of the pagan traditions and symbolism Christianity has taken from us...

The Easter bunny ~ symbolizes fertility, and they are known for breeding and breeding often.

The Easter Egg ~ represents new life and rebirth, Eggs bear ancient roots in Pagan rituals for Estore.

Flowers (eg. Easter Lily) ~ symbolizes new beginnings, and represents the cycle of life.

Traditionally, this is the time that the maiden goddess meets with (her reborn consort) Pan or what others refer to as the "Horned God". I tend to call this "fertility season"... No, don't ask me what that consists of because quite frankly, I am not turning my blog into an erotic read LOL

And with that...

I hope you all have an awesome day. Stay safe. Stay warm. Be well. Be loved. Most of all, Blessed Be my Lovies.
