Side Effects Worth It???
Now, to drop to these levels from the mid 20s (around 450), I took my Ozempic shot this week... Sure, it makes my sugars more level, but it makes me pretty sick for the first 48 hours of taking it. I also take my long acting/slow release insulin at night time, but I absolutely refuse to take the fast acting one, ever since the government changed it with no reasoning...
I, along with at least 4 other people I know, have had the same reaction to this new formula and honestly, I don't want to talk about conspiracies, BUT I have never had a medication, including IV insulin in the hospital (when I am in ketoacidosis), drop from 30+ to between 1 and 3, within minutes; and usually happening at night, so we wouldn't even notice. To me, that is scary and I refuse to be the next body someone finds in bed dead... been there, done that!!!
As for the rest of my medical stuff, my WBC is staying level, so not seeking any new form of treatment (Thanks Odin!!!) I don't know what the medical field is doing, as I now have 3 appointments with 3 different rheumatologists. I am going to take the first appointment that comes up, and if my family doctor feels they are doing a suffice job... I will trust him, as he is the only doctor I truly trust with my life.
I have to book that ultrasound still for my arm, as the pain is duller, thanks to the medication my pharmacist recommended (Thankfully not an opiate nor narcotic), but it never quite goes away and sharp pains pop up at any given moment... so not too much fun there.
I did miss my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon because I lost a few days in the last week... Yes, this happens to me quite often ~ losing gaps of time, but I am just rolling with it. I am hoping they will reschedule me soon, but I hate being overwhelmed with shyt too. Monthly blood work to monitor it. I need a spinal tap sooooo badly, but am fed up with all the hassles that come with it. Every time, its a new possibility of them completely paralyzing you... Yah, I get they are professionals, but this is also MY body.
I think that is enough on this topic. Stay safe. Stay warm/cool. Be well. Be loved. Blessed Be my Lovies.
