TikTok to be Banned???


Good morning my Lovies!!! This is going to be another weird blurb from me today. I don't know what has gotten into me, but I have the writing bug today. LOL

This entry is about TikTok and how it seems the US government is trying to have it TikTok banned in the US, IF China (their company ByteDance) will not sell the company. 

Strangely, this is about the only thing that Trump and Biden somewhat agreed on, feeling that TikTok is a National security threat... although I use the word "agree" very loosely because just last month the Biden Administration joined that very social media platform. Trump feels it needs to go, but he is also admitting that will boost up Facebook users immensely; which is something he doesn't want because apparently FB played a huge role in the 2020 Elections.

Biden DID try to have TikTok banned back in 2020, but the platform fought back and won, citing it as a violation of the First Amendment, taking away their freedom of speech and their due process rights. Biden succeeded in banning over 4 million US government employees from having the app on their work phones, which I CAN respect; but to ban the entire country from using it??? To me, that's horseshit and we don't live in communist countries YET!!!

I don't think they realize how many people actually depend on TikTok, not just for content but some people are making decent money from their work or companies they use TikTok for.

I don't know, maybe I am talking out of my ass because on the opposite side, I have learned that TikTok is also being used by predators; especially since the majority of users are of the younger demographic. So it's kind of a catch-22, with all the social media platforms. I am not going to get too deep into the rest of the issues with all these apps, but I am going to admit that even facebook has become quite questionable lately.

So let's just sit back and see what the government is going to decide; and what rights and freedoms they are going to abolish next!!! Stay safe. Stay warm/cool. Be well. Be loved. Blessed Be my Lovies.

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that.   Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
