You HAD to Know I Was Gonna Write ABout This...
Page 73 of 366. I am just gonna start this one with, "Are you fucking serious???" I am going to post a link that goes more into detail than what I am writing about, and you judge for yourself if you think this makes sense!!!
I am going to focus on one particular part of this article because to me, it makes absolutely no sense... The article states this...
"An officer who was convicted of a crime but didn't have to serve time behind bars would remain suspended with pay unless and until they were fired through police disciplinary procedure. If the officer appealed their termination, they could remain suspended for months, even years."
So, the public is supposed to continue paying for an officer/person in law enforcement even AFTER they are convicted, IF they don't end up in jail or prison??? And even then, they could appeal it, which could take years... and this seems to be an okay bill to pass??? In what fkn world does this make sense???
We all know that cops/law enforcement officers are RARELY imprisoned for their actions; mostly because they would have to be housed in PC (Protective Custody); due to the fact that they probably threw a few of the inmates in that very jail/prison. To me, this is ridiculous because once a dirty cop, always a dirty cop... why does their crime deserve special treatment???
I really want to go back to the fact that even if they are convicted... found guilty... they would still be allowed to get paid??? What company in the world has this policy??? NONE!!! Anyways, that's my rant for this topic, agree or disagree, this is my opinion and nothing anyone says to me will change it.
Stay safe. Stay warm/cool. Be well. Be loved. Blessed Be my Lovies.
