It is the End of the Weekend... Sundays Have Been Very Different Lately

Page 112 of 366. Good Day my Lovies. It has been a day that I just didn't want to get out of bed... not that I am depressed or anything today; I just have no where to go... not that I generally go out anyways LOL.

There is no denying that when your doctors even call you a "Vampyre", you go with it!!! I am not like most people. I enjoy my space. I enjoy the tranquility and serene vibe I've got going on here. My salt lamps on. My white sage burning. French Vanilla wax burning... and now the scent of food cooking.

I don't know, maybe I am a bit on the sad side, at the moment... but that is because I had always been ol school. Sunday was the day family/friends gathered... we'd watch football, or play some sort of game, or we'd just sit and shoot the shit. I would make a big ass dinner and the invitation was there... as a "door's open" policy on Sundays... but ever since the "showdown" (best term to use) between me and one of my kids; it hasn't been like that.

Like when I am talking ol school, I mean we all sat at the dinner table, cell phones were put down... Rule was... the first person who picked up their phone or any type of electronic device, had to do the dishes!!! Sunday was the one day of the week where it was specifically dedicate to the time to talk together; look at each other's face as we spoke, instead of heads buried on our phones and getting, or sending a text here and there. It was a day to just be PRESENT!!!

I know, I am sure a lot of you find this to be a foreign concept as most don't even know what it means to shut "off" and just enjoy the moment. Sundays will always be like that to me... and one day, I will be back to doing that, as I just want that tradition to continue.... even if my kids are grown and have children of their own, it's the one thing I hope they carry on.

In a sense, I still carry on the tradition... when I can physically do it; but on a much smaller scale. I still make a meal that is created for an army of people, but it's been teaching me to eat some left-overs. I honestly know one other friend/sister who is like this. She cooks for an army too, even though there aren't that many of us around; we share meals when we can or would like to. We get together for holidays and birthdays... We try to be inclusive and make sure no one goes without.

No. I am not writing this as a pat on the back, it's more of a natural thing for us ol schoolers... at least that is what I'd like to think. I hope you all have a fantastic day, and a beautiful and happy week ahead. For those of you on the road, please stay safe and watch out for our loved ones on two wheels.

Stay safe. Stay warm/cool. Be well. Be blessed... but most of all, BE LOVED!!! Much L&R
