What the Actual F@*K!!!

 

Page 301 of 366. Good Morning Lovies. I wanted to write about this yesterday already, but needed to get my emotions in check before I did because I most certainly would have spewed venom!!!

I will not be going into details as to WHY I feel so passionately about this topic right now because I don't want to have people "patting me on the back" (so to speak); over things that just came naturally to me.

I sometimes absolutely DETEST social media and the world wide web; giving people access to things that simply shouldn't be out in public...

Day in and day out there are posts, photos and videos of people in unfortunate circumstances that by-standers record and place on social media platforms as if it is their right to do so; not thinking at all about the victims or people they are filming. This makes me 100% grateful that I grew up in a different era (Gen Xer here!).

Like, do people post videos of addicts in their worst moments and think it is okay to laugh at the downtrodden? The people who view these videos and condone this behaviour... do you think it is okay? Do you even consider what the addict or their loved ones would, and DO feel when they come across such a video???

In the same way, I cannot stand people who act like they are doing the charitable thing, by feeding the homeless; but have to record it, or announce it on social media. If you're doing it out of the goodness of your heart, you don't need acknowledgment or praise from other people... feeling great about yourself for putting a smile on someone's face, if even for a moment, should be more than enough.

How about someone who records an accident scene... Which happens sooooo often... and they post the video with the car, or motorcycle, sometimes even with the person (sometimes deceased) right there??? What if that was your family member, partner, child or loved one, and you had no idea that they were in an accident, or had not even been notified from the authorities yet; as they were still looking for next of kin???

I don't like this society we live in. I don't like how this world has changed sooo much. I can't stand how humanity has just disappeared; that empathic people are a dying breed. The world is becoming and pretty much is filled will selfish, self-entitled assholes who couldn't care less for their "neighbour". I will NEVER be like you... I CANNOT be like you.

All this rubber-necking and belief that you're entitled to invade everyone's privacy for your own entertainment, is a disgusting behaviour and mentality. I truly hope that if this is your mindset that you'll be the next one who is on the other side of that lens... CALL IT KARMA!!!
