Your Ignorance is Showing!!!

Page 290 of 366. Good Evening Lovies. I had hoped I didn't need to stoop to these levels; but it seems that some are soooo daft that they need a true reality check and if no one else is up for the task... I'll do it; and you ain't going to like what I've got to say....

You know the saying, "Ignorance is bliss!"??? Well, in some instances this is the truth, I kinda view that stance to a child who has an innocent mind, or who doesn't know things could (or should) be any different.

I can honestly admit, I am ignorant, (in the true sense of the word), when it comes to some things... I am becoming more aware of things I do not understand, or things I never experienced. I am not here to deny that. I also am not here to say everyone in the world are ignorant on purpose; but let me tell you, being ugly in your mind versus ugly in your heart is where the difference lies!!!

(LET ME EXPLAIN...)

I really am having a difficult time putting this into words without completely flipping out. As someone I love dearly has pointed out, I am extremely passionate about things; especially those things I hold dearly in life... Before I divulge what I am rambling on about, please note that I am not saying people should hide that they are grateful for what they have; but they also need to remember that at the end of the day, those are just THINGS... something that can be ripped away from you at any given moment... but your humanity??? Nah... once that is gone, you're nothing but a shell!!!

I have written many times about the encampments and the homelessness that is rampant throughout our country; and probably the world as our governments/elitists continue to make the richer more rich, while making the poor so poor, that they are pretty much just existing at this point...

I am not here to debate whether these encampments are filled with addicts or alcoholics; or whether people choose to be there over seeking help. Honestly, I have said it so many times, that I feel like I am literally beating a dead horse.

You want to think a certain way, that's your perogative; but what is NOT your perogative is to insult and belittle the downtrodden!!! I see it over and over, on the daily, how people comment that these "unhoused" should burn or die; along with millions of other disgusting things. Do you people even realize that these are HUMANS you speak of??? Or is it that since they cannot afford the luxuries you have, they no longer deem fit to be in the same social category as you??? (THIS IS A LEGIT QUESTION!!!)

I am sorry. I am getting a bit off topic...

What I wanted to bring up is this... most people who still have a roof over their head, bills paid and food in their belly, truly don't understand how blessed they are. I am not saying that you should not be happy that you still have this... count your blessings.

If you have never had to experience homelessness, OR have a belly so empty you didn't think you could make it another day, OR didn't know if you could get your medications, or fresh water, heat or anything.... WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO JUDGE ANYTHING THESE PEOPLE (YES PEOPLE!!!!) ARE COPING WITH???

I am disgusted by people who are bitching about being chilly, or complaining about whatever when they have their basic needs covered. You have the option of putting on an extra layer of clothes, something most homeless people are very limited with... as it is becoming more obvious with the explosions of propane tanks as their only resource of staying warm (you automatically assume it's from drug use; but again, that is showing your ignorance... and you know what they say when you ASSUME something, right?!!)

I am going to end this blurb with this...

I really hope you take a moment and think about everything that you should be grateful for and seriously start showing some compassion to those who are less fortunate than you... Do you honestly think people choose to live in the cold, damp, unpredictable environment they are in?

One last thing... Don't wait until the Christmas season (you know, the "season of giving"), to give to charities, to make yourself feel better... Homelessness and poverty isn't just around for those few weeks... it's a year-round issue... it's a human issue... it's a global issue. It is going to take everyone's effort to make it a better world for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

Please open your eyes and heart and REALLY see what is happening... not just with your eyes, but with your heart!!!
