Your Mentality is PISSING Me Off!!!

 

I am going to advise you to buckle up for this one. This is not the first time I am writing about this topic, and I am sure it won't be the last time I have to do it because apparently people are not getting the message. 

I am going to speak my mind on this subject, I am not here to appease you, and quite frankly, I don't care if it makes you uncomfortable... because it SHOULD!!!

We have all been watching our world turn to shit for a while now because our governments seem to have abandoned its very own people to line their own pockets; catering to the rich and throwing the middle class and lower class into the depths of despair. 

Let's not even talk about what they have done and continue to do to those who are living way below the line of poverty, if you can even call it "living" at this point...

Instead of people uniting for a common cause, I continue to see people who are bitching about the encampments within their cities, or the homeless (NO, I will not be politically correct, to give ANYONE a possible way to sit in comfort with these thoughts!!!) 

I am literally going to quote someone's post about it, but I am going to continue to keep my intergrity by not naming names; even though they deserve to have their name plastered all over the place... I'll leave that to the universe to deal with.

"Rant, no I'm not racist but I have been going to encampments for 3 months with water and dog food, all white and few black guys, not one paki or indian, no Ukraines, Palistines (sic), all white/black people,, not all junkies some go to work all day, but live in tents but not one refugee in encampments WTF, wrong with this country, wake up people you could be next?????????"

I have been very open about my own plight and journey with homelessness. When I speak about this topic, I can speak from experience from both sides of the circumstances; so YES, this is a well informed entry and not an ignorant one, coming from people who have ZERO fucking clue what it means to literally have nothing; even wondering where your next meal is coming from; or IF there will be another one.

Your ignorance is showing!!!

I am not going to say that a lot of people who have been displaced are not addicts, in one form or another; BUT I am also not able to say that all of them are. I will fight the good fight and say a good portion of those who are using one vice or another are also stuck in that position because they cannot afford their medications, especially mental health medications, thanks to our fkd up government who felt it was more important to tke the funding for that and reallocate the funds to foreigners and refugees; leaving our own citizens in distress.

For those of you who say, all it takes is them reaching out for help... You truly don't know the system at all!!! Show me where there is space for addicts or alcoholics in rehab centers, that is free for them to seek treatment. Show me mental health facilities that can take in-patients, to help them detox and seek the real help they need, and help them maintain their medication and therapy; (which isn't free by the way). Sorry, let me correct that... (again, I can say this from me own experience, even currently)...

See a psychiatrist is free, but you only see a psychiatrist to regulate your medication, that is it. They diagnose you and then send you on your way. Therapy is free, but it is in such high demand that you are lucy to see or speak to a therapist once every 6 weeks... for 1 hour. That is of NO help, because by the time you have recapped what has went on the past 6 weeks, you cannot even get down to the issues that truly need to be dealt with. Now to see a psychologist??? That cost money!!! So again, I ask, where exactly are these people to get the help, y'all are saying they can simply reach out for???

Now, you say there are shelters they can go to... WHERE???

The cities are very limited with shelters, to the point that people need to line up by mid afternoon, at the latest to even get a glimmer of hope of getting a bed; once inside the shelter, they then have to worry about not getting robbed or stabbed, or worse. The housing situation is absolutely out of control.... but sure, let's keep bringing in new people to help!!! (FUCKING TOOLS!!!)

How about all the empty houses that are sitting in geared to income housing projects??? I live near one that has dozens of homes empty, but you know what the city isn't renting them out??? Because they do not want to fix them; they are unsuitable for living and should honestly be condemned; but hey... they have been building new homes for geared to income people... 

How much do you want to bet, those CANADIANS who have been on the waiting list for 10+ years will be the last people to get homes because, you know, our government needs to house those refugees first. This is where my disdain comes in very strong... 

Prime example, I watched people come in to view a place to live, they didn't speak a lick of English (you know, one of the two national languages of Canada)... but they were driving a brand new F150 extended cab (something people who have worked hard most of their lives here would not be able to afford), parked at the bus stop on the street... Please explain to me, how the fuck they could afford a truck like that, let alone have their license when they cannot read nor speak any English nor French???

That's our government for ya!!! I am sooooo surprised people haven't revolted yet!!! Anyways, I am getting off topic, but I think I have made my point. Maybe stop bashing the people who are barely surviving and start pointing fingers at the real problem!!! May you all have the day you deserve
