Big Events Are on the Horizons...

You all know I am a nerd when it comes to celestial events; not just because I am a witch, but I constantly observe how these events effect humans' behaviour and the effect it has on our environment (lands & oceans)...

I first want to talk about events are happening in January 2025, that I firmly believe is going to coincide withthe latest news...

January 2 and 3rd, we are expected to have a fairly big meteor shower. Anyone who observes the skies or geeks out like I do, don't really feel impressed with that news; but there is something that is quickly following that...

There is a comet called C/2024 G3 aka ATLAS. Some scientists are already calling it the "Best Comet of 2025". It has been said that this comet will get the closest to the Sun (compared to any recent comet).

This means ATLAS could very well be seen by the naked eye ~ and visible during the day!!! Unfortunately for us Canadians and Americans might not be able to see it, as the best visibility will be in the Southern Hemisphere.

I AM holding out hope because this comet was only discovered on April 5th, 2024; suggesting this is a fairly new comet and could be entering the inner Solar system for the first time. We are supposed to be able to see it on January 13, 2025, and in the constellation Sagittarius. Some believe this comet could be as visible as NEOWISE was in 2020; others remain skeptical...

NOW TO THE INTERESTING EVENT...

Astronomers have been busy figuring things as they have recently announced there is a rare nova explosion soon. (a sudden, intense brightening of a star, increasing its brightness by 100 to 10,000 times. It occurs in binary star systems, where a white dwarf pulls matter from a companion red giant until a powerful nuclear fusion explosion happens on the dwarf’s surface. During a nova event, the dwarf star remains intact, but the accumulated material is expelled into space in a blinding flash. The process can repeat over time, lasting tens or hundreds of thousands of years) ~ Thank you Google for explanation***

This is a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event as it only happens every 70 to 80 years. The last one that was visible was in 1946. Astronomers initially expected this event to happen between March and September of this year; but clearly they were off... I am predicting it will be tied into the events with January's comet ATLAS, but I could be mistaken; so please don't take my word for it.

NASA gives us the location of the "star". It will be in the Northern Crown, which is in the shape of a horseshoe. A curve of stars west of the Hercules constellation (please study up on your astronomy before all these exciting events occur). One can look for it between the bright stars Vega and Arturus. ENJOY!!!
