If You Don't Stand For Something...

I hope you have a great Saturday, it's not raining, but looks rather gloomy out... a day where I'd love to be walking by the water, if the weather was a tad bit warmer, digging my toes in the sand, knowing I am pretty much the only one enjoying the peace the universe presents us with. 

With that being said, I am going to jump right into the topic on my mind today...

I read an article yesterday that infuriated me. Yes, I understand this is a controversial subject, particularly here in Canada; but I am throwing in my two cents (with inflation it'll be 5 cents now)!!!

The Superior Court of Canada has convictioned Pat King of being guilty of 5 charges for his role in the massive protest that happened here in Ottawa, Ontario ~ Parliament Hill (where our government is... like our version of the White House).

Pat King is a Canadian Activist that was one of the key figures that worked along with others (I am not naming names), to create what is probably the biggest protest our country has ever seen. I am talking about the FREEDOM CONVOY 2022. If you don't know about it, truck drivers drove for days, from both sides of the country to Ottawa, and became stationary there, for an unprecedented 3 weeks. People who were there asking our government to meet with them; something that was constantly refused.

I WILL say, for the most part, this protest was very peaceful. From what I have seen and heard, the majority of the violence came from the government and police forces. The truckers cleaned the sidewalks of snow... people were seen playing hockey on the streets (LOL tell me you're Canadian, without saying "I'm Canadian"). 

Supporters who couldn't be there physically supported by donations for fuel and food... our government went so far as to freeze everyone's bank accounts... an incredibly illegal movement, and abuse of power!!! Arrested people, keeping them in jail for weeks/months, denying them counsel, even lying where they were. It was an insane time... all the government officials needed to do was to open lines of communication. It really WAS that simple!!! 

There were millions of people supporting them, as they were fighting against the mandated COVID vaccines, and the restrictions that were placed on citizens, companies, especially the smaller comapnies like tattoo shops and the mom and pop shops that likely would not and could not survive the restrictions and months of closures.

Anyways, Pat King was found guilty of 2 charges of disobeying a court order, 1 count of mischief, 1 count of counselling to commit mischief and 1 count of counselling to obstruct a public or peace officer. His sentencing will be taking place January 16, 2025; the conviction can go to the maximum sentence of 10 years.

I CALL HORSESHIT!!!

I will agree that I do NOT condone other things Pat King has done in his personal life, or has claimed (that is not what I am discussing right now)... He was initially charged with intimidation and blah, blah blah. Fortunately for him, those 4 charges were dropped; but the fight for our rights and freedoms came at a steep cost to him.

The thing that pisses me off here is that our own Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergency Act on February 17 to 23, 2022. He was taken to court and found guilty of using it illegally. He was found GUILTY!!! HE USED HIS POWER AS A WEAPON AGAINST THE VERY PEOPLE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING... WHERE IS HIS SENTENCE??? How is he still allowed to be "running" (I use this word loosely, as he is drowning us), this country??? As I stated at the beginning, many will agree with me but there will be many who oppose what I am saying. I fully acknowledge that. I respect your views and opinions as they are. I will respectfully agree to disagree. These are MY opinions.

Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? Good evening lovies. I have been struggling with something that is very close to my heart. I truly do not know where to proceed next. I'm going to try and make a very long story as simple as I can... I was adopted at 5months of age, (well apprehended at 5 months, adopted at 5 years). There is something that adoptees yearn for all their lives... WHY?  I know for me there were many questions and on my 19th birthday it appeared I was going to get those answers when I met the woman who birthed me. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken!!! Tis the Season.... Why I Am Proud of Local Tattoo Shop!!!

  Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
