This Topic Again.... For You DAFT People!!!

Page 332 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. Sorry, I am not really in the mood for the usual salutations as I am growing weary of writing about this topic. I don't know when people are going to pull their heads out of their asses and see how fkn ignorant they are.

I KNOW I just wrote about this yesterday, and before I even begin writing my rant... I want to clarify since I am an empath, I do NOT watch the news for this very reason. I DO however stay in a group that shares information about the city I live in, which I look at... even that, I can't read every day because people are soooo bitter and their attitudes are very disheartening. It disturbs my soul!!!

The topic today was another encampment went up in flames. The biggest thing people were doing was either laughing at the people, or bitching that their tax dollars were going to these pieces of trash... BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! Sorry, I kind of drown out their words when they get to this point because they are just not grasping the magnitude of what is truly happening. 

These are people. These are humans, men, women, children, even animals who are struggling to stay warm against the cruel elements that we all endure at this time of the year. We are all fully aware how dire this is, that there will be many more fires happening in the coming months as people desperately try to stay warm and fight to survive. I am sorry, this is NOT something that should be happening in a first world country... to be honest, it shouldn't be happening anywhere in the world anymore... but that's not a conversation people are ready to face yet!!!

Don't think I am ignorant to the dangers of them having fires in the parks by their tents as they will do anything to stay warm. I fully acknowledge that there will be many more encampment fires; I really hope that no one is injured, or dies... something not too many are really talking about, since their main focus is the almighty dollar!!!

Other people think these homeless could get help if they really wanted to... Are you for real right now??? Shelter space is very limited, and is not any safer than being on the streets. The in-house rehab facilities have waiting lists longer than my arm. 

Our wonderful government (please note the sarcasm) has taken most of the funding for our mental healthcare system and reallocated it to supporting refugees, or supporting other countries, instead of taking care of its own citizens... so think again.

As for the city gear-to-income homes... just look on social media... our mayor is nowhere to be found; unless you can find her in a local bar. She has made this city far worse than ever before. 

A former councillor, who actually gave a shit about his constituents even posted about the mayor, revealing that there are over 1600 people homeless in this city right now, while there are 575+ city housing homes vacant... SOMEONE MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE!!!

People of this city, and society in general needs to refocus their rage... STOP putting all the blame on the homeless, or accusing them all of being addicts or alcoholics... the downtrodden in general, and start focusing on the people who are not lifting a single finger for them.

I will not post the disturbing things people have posted about the fire that happened today because those who say them, I honestly hope they get what they deserve. They seem to think they are untouchable, when in reality the could merely be a paycheque away from being in the exact same position. The universe has this awesome way of teaching people lessons, in the most ironic ways.

As a society, we can do so much better. It literally can start with a simple smile, a warm drink, or even a sandwich... Just take the first step... you truly have NO idea how something so inconsequential to you, could mean the world to another. Isn't there enough hate and bitterness in this world already???
