What's With the World Today

Page 322 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. Before I begin this blurb, I am going to try my utmost to not judge people, as I am not perfect, and no one is all-knowing. Life is a constant lesson, you either learn from it, or you are destine to repeat it until you get it right... 

Please keep this in mind, as I write what I am about to say...

We have all watched how the world went from the 60s which was pretty much all love, drugs and rock n' roll. The "Hippie" era, so to speak!!! I like to think they were very much into spiritualism in the 60s; so how did we go from that, to our current state???

I am not denying that there were many, many other things happening through the decades prior to the 60s; and after the 60s... This blurb is not about all of that, it is more about the spiritual part. 

We all, or at least, I hope we all know there is something more in this universe than just us humans beings. Whether you are religious or spiritual (these days), you still have to acknowledge it is literally impossible that we are the only life "out there"... and definitely not the most intelligent ones neither!!!

What is a big thing, people are turning their backs, more and more on, is religion, and they are turning to become spiritual... which intrigues me. 

If you watch the news, or pay attention to social media, it appears that the world is flipping once again, and Christianity is being the "outcast" religion. I'd like to think people have learned by now, that it is okay to have your own beliefs and simply agree to disagree without going to war; or bombing countries over different views ~ We all know, this is still not happening. 

I struggle all the time and can never comprehend why religions that believe in the very same God, but only worship differently, have such a disdain for each other. Boggles my mind!!! They are literally still killing each other,

This is what is bringing me to my long-winded point...

Christians, and most religions/people had a huge issue when refugees were coming into our countries, fleeing from their war-torn lands; but instead of incorporating the new homeland's way of life; they brought the very life they were trying to escape from, with them... I will use Islam, as this is one of the current ones people talk about...

I am not going to get into the ins and outs of people's rants, but the premise was about the violence and that they were "primative" people. Their ways were wrong and sinister; all around they were vicious. I find the irony in this a little bit hypocritical and karmic at the same time...

When we go through the centuries as far back as records show, there were always one group fighting another. A war of one people conquering another. 

(Something our society and world still hasn't learned anything from!!!)

There is a method to my madness. We are still not learning as a people... Religious Conflicts TODAY...

Israel & Palestine (Some feel this is a religious war because both sides believe God gave them the land).

Armenia & Azerbaijan (Ethnic and territorial that is rooted in ancient hostility between Christians and Muslims).

Niger, Mali & Burkina Faso (war between Muslims and animists).

Kashmir (A conflict that has been going on since Before India and Pakistan gained independence from Britain in 1947).

Please explain to me, why is the world still fighting over their beliefs??? I'd also like to know how it is stated that Christianity is still the largest religion in the world... Ohhhhhh, the self-righteous Christians...

I am who I am. I had heated discussions with Christians over their belief system, and how MOST pick and choose which Bible verse they use to fit the narrative of their argument. We've had intense conversations about how Christians claim they are a peaceful religion and scorn others; but seem to forget all the things they have done, in the name of their God... 

Like... the witch hunts (burnings, maiming, drowning and hangings, etc). The genocide of innocent people whose land they took... innocent children they yanked out of parents' arms and tried to beat the heritage out of them, (killing thousands of them). 

So to me, Christians/Catholics being hated for their beliefs, specifically those who still attend church one day a week, and are the worst people the other six days... this day and age, is for you! Sweeping child abuse, rape, abuse of power, etc under the rug???

Call it Karmic Justice!!!

Even Protestants fighting Catholics; let's add in the Calvinists, Orthodox, Methodists, Baptists, Lutheran, Anglican, Reformed... etc.

Don't y'all read the Bible??? Maybe not the same version... but still the BIBLE???!!!

Personally, I think religion is just an all around money grab and hogwash; but to each their own. Society would be a much better place if people would sit back and look at the world as a whole. There's sooooo much you are missing, while you keep your nose deep in a book that has been written and translated soooo many times, that it no longer has any of the right interpretation. 

You do you though.... You go to that building on Saturdays or Sundays, sit on those pews, or kneel on your prayer mats... That is your perogative. 

I will respectfully disagree with your choice; and forever be curious as to why you follow it, I am not being condescending, it truly is a legitimate question!!!) 

As you walk into that building, I will be looking up, to the beautiful "heavens" and admire the universe, and humbly ground myself by walking on the earth, or through water... or even dance in the rain (or snow). 

To each their own... (But you gotta admit, the 60s was a great decade when religion didn't control people's minds and lives!!!)
