It's the Saga That Never Ends...

 

Hi y'all. I know. I know. It is becoming a habit of writing a couple or few blurbs a day now. I guess getting hit with a whirlwind of emotions and trauma, I was NOT expecting to deal with again, I just kinda shoved away the things I really love doing... mainly my writing. MY crime blog has been completely blank for months, and that is bothering the HELL out of me!!!

I want to bring up a "discussion" that has come up in one of the groups I am in on social media...

The topic is once again... RELIGION!!! and its place within the classroom. I feel there is NO place in schools for religion. I will NOT change my stance on that; no matter how many times people will present different scenarios. It's just not a good thing!

I was poised with this response..

"But then what one learns in school can upset some religious folks like evolution. If as in the genetic site listed above, we have similar DNA to the apes, if our ancestors originated in Africa, rather than the Middle East... this is science being a threat to one's Christian worldview."

(Please note that I don't handle (most) situations with kids' gloves; I speak MY truth as I see things. I am not saying I am right nor wrong. It is simply my opinion).

My response:

"Then I suggest if people are butthurt over absolute scientific facts over blind, never EVER proven beliefs and faith... than they should be homeschooled. If children are not taught facts, and not given the opportunity to question things within themselves... they are nothing more than the mere drones of all their previous generations. If their parents are teaching them certain religious ways that contradict scientific facts, they should also be PROVING how that science proof is wrong. This is just my own opinion!!!"

Children thrive to learn, and they SHOULD be questioning everything they are told... not just be sheeple!!! Sorry, somedays it takes everything in me to remind people that they are the reason "sheep" is used as the followers of God aka the "Shepherd"... BIBLE SPEECH right there!!!

The never ending saga of religion versus science... facts versus faith. Religion has no place in schools, to be honest, it has no place in politics neither... BUT that's a whole other argument. Have a great night all.

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that.   Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
