Please Make This Make Sense!!!

Page 346 of 366. Good Night/ Good Morning Lovies, wherever you are situated in this world. I send you positive and loving vibes at this hour. I had pondered on whether I was going to do any writing today (well technically yesterday, but since I haven't slept yest; I'll still count today as December 10th. LOL).

Let's just jump into the topic for this blurb, shall we. I am going to post the link so you will all be able to understand how confuzzled I am at the absolute insanity and stupidity of this entire situation. Here's the link to the article that triggered this entrie today...

Fighting the Laws of Marriage!!!

Now I don't know if I am the only one in this world who is thinking this; but WTF??? WTAF???

As of 2024, there is estimated to be 8.2 BILLION people roaming the earth; with TPTB (The Powers That Be) suggesting that will increase to 9.7 BILLION by 2050. It is mind blowing how a  independent member of Parliament protested that Britain should NOT have a ban on FIRST COUSINS getting married... to my surprise, this is NOT an actual law currently in the UK; an dhas not be one since King Henry VIII... EXCUSE ME???

Iqbal Mohamed was quoted as saying that many feel intermarriage within the family is a positive spin on things and will help family bonds; giving them a better chance at financial stability as well. THANKFULLY HE AT LEAST HAD THE BRAINS ENOUGH TO ADMIT THERE COULD BE SEVERE HEALTH ISSUES WITH FAMILY INTERMARRIAGES....

Mohamed suggested that of course there would be needed a 'more positive approach'  'facilitate advanced genetic test screening' for couples wishing to marry; also there needs to be 'education programmes' for those communities where family intermarriage is most common. I AM STILL BITING MY TONGUE AT THIS POINT!!!

Mr Mohamed spoke out against Tory MP Richard Holden's efforts to bring in new legislation to prohibit the marriage of first cousins. His battle with Holden seems to be an uphill one of sorts.... Mr Holden outlined 'health, freedom and our national values' as three areas of concern over family intermarriage in the UK.

Mr Holden urged the goverment to review his bill about the 'vehicle for positive change in our country', adding: 'Because, in the end, it's about more than one marriage - it's about the values and foundations of our society and our democracy.' I TEND TO FULLY AGREE WITH HOLDEN!!!

Mr Mohamed, (Independent Alliance of MPs -  a group that includes ex-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn), agreed there were 'documented health risks with first-cousin marriage'.He also spoke of the need to prevent so-called 'virginity testing' and forced marriages, adding the 'freedom of women must be protected at all times'.

He continued to plead his case, insisting that, 'Instead the matter needs to be approached as a health awareness issue, a cultural issue where women are being forced against their will to undergo marriage. In doing so, it is important to recognise for many people that this is a highly sensitive issue, and in discussing it we should try to step into the shoes of those who perhaps are not from the same culture as ours, to better understand why the practice continues to be so widespread.

'An estimated 35-50 per cent of all sub-Saharan African populations either prefer or accept cousin marriages and it is extremely common in the Middle East and in South Asia. I CALL HORSESHYT ON THESE NUMBERS. I DON'T THINK MOST PEOPLE WANT TO MARRY THEIR OWN COUSINS. I THINK THIS ABSURD BEHAVIOUR AND WAY OF THINKING HAS BEEN INSTILLED ON THEM FROM THEIR ANCESTORS AND MANY OF THEM, ESPECIALLY THE WOMEN ARE AFRAID TO DEFY THE MEN IN THEIR FAMILIES AND RELIGION!!!

Mohamed is not helping his case, by saying this...'The reason the practice is so common is that ordinary people see family intermarriage overall as something that is very positive, something that helps build family bonds, and helps put families on a more secure financial foothold.

Mr Mohamed asked the MPs to stop Holden's ban adding, 'Instead of stigmatising those who are in cousin marriages or those inclined to be, a much more positive approach would be to facilitate advanced genetic test screening for prospective married couples, as is the case in all Arab countries in the Persian Gulf.' He feels they should pay and teach health education programmes for the communities where these marriages are happening.

Currently there is no date set for this issue to be resolved; and I find this very disturbing and disheartening; especially since my country is part of this commonwealth and I absolutely 100% disagree with Mr Mohamed and 100% stand with Mr Holden.

I hope that the government in the UK will re-evaluate their laws and realize the only reason this is NOT already a law is because their horny ass, long dead King Henry the VIII made it legal so he could marry his own cousin... It's time to update from those Medival dark ages (I'm being sarcastic), and get with the ages... Stop these incestial marriages; because frankly... no one really wants to have an "UNCLE DAD", do they???

My two cents worth...
