The Fire Has Emerged!!!

 


Page 354 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. Sorry, I had to walk away from this for a few hours to gather my thoughts and emotions. I have mentioned before that there has been an issue concerning sexual assault and sexual harassment that weighs heavily on my mind, body, heart and soul. 

Today, things kind of came to "head", so to speak!!! It has been a tough journey these past few months as this person has been dealing with seeing the man who has been doing it to her, day in and day out. 

She hides at her friends and family's homes to feel safe while he is around her home... her safe space!!!

Two nights ago, everything exploded; a switch was flipped and her strength came out... she has allowed her fire out toplay. She decided to regain herself... regain her self-love and inner strength. The man tried to play things off, like he had done no wrong; playing on her kindness. He attempted to pit people agaisnt each other, causing somewhat of a hostile environment throughout the community she lives in. For the most part, he failed miserably. 

She took the bull by the horns and stood her ground. She was no longer going to stay in "victim" mode... even skipped the survival mode, going straight to warrior!!! It has been a beautiful empowering transition. 

While he tried to belittle her and tried to play on words, or change the narrative to make himself look innocent; she didn't flinch. She, instead, went a route she really didn't want to take. 

She doesn't like placing her life in other people's hands; so THIS is definitely a high risk move on her part, but she is taking the leap of faith!!!

I know how often I preach about how terrible our judicial system is. I cannot stand police (in any way, shape, nor form), and I am not a rat nor a snitch... so even in this instance the police are not involved. She has the same stance as I do, but is trying to go about this the right way so she may have the right to live a peaceful life in her own sacred space. 

I guess we will just have to wait and see how this will work out for her. I am not sure how I feel about going the legal route against a POS like this guy; but I know she feels she was cornered into making this choice. I'll keep you all up to date, as this progresses. Let's hope for the best for her.

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that.   Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
