The Struggle is REAL (Political Post... KINDA!!!)

Did I miss the memo while the bells were tolling at midnight, last night??? Like, is there something that changed in the air... something I am completely unaware of? 

To say I am "confuzzled" would be the understatement of the year... yah, yah... I know it is ONLY January 1st and I am already confused beyond words LOL!!!

I do NOT understand what is happening in our world. I really cannot grasp how it looks like not one of the idiots in charge has learned from history... 

Let's be real, we ALL know that if you haven't learned from it, you're bound to repeat it!!! 

I really didn't want this new book to start with such sadness...

We are literally still on page 1 of 365 and there has already been a terrorist attack on American soil. A man, (and I struggle using that term because this vile being is a disgrace to all "mankind"... I can't even dignify him enough to call him an "animal", because that would be insulting animals!!!), he drove his truck that bore the Islamic State flag, into a crowd of revelers celebrating the New Year... a "fresh start" as people like to call it.

He killed at least 16 people, injuring another 35 others, including two New Orleans Law Enforcement Officers. He was killed during the attack, when he exited the truck armed with two firearms. Sorry, call me sadistic but fkrs like him... dying like that, is too kind of a punishment for him; especially since they believe they will respected and honoured as heroes among their own people.

The FBI is investigating it, and as I am looking up the news on the tragedy; I am not sure why exactly they needed to point out that there were LGBTQ parties going on at Bourbon Street... what difference does that make at this point??? Like, really? NO, I am NOT being hateful. It's just not a significant part of the story. It is people, HUMANS who were killed... nowhere should people be concerned about sexual orientation or gender or whatever at this point... it was PEOPLE!!! 

The same area where the parade was taking place prior to the Sugarbowl which was supposed to take place at Caesars Superdome. The college football playoff game between Georgia Bulldogs and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was to be battled out this afternoon; now postponed until the 2nd of January.

Here is something that continues to boggle my mind. 

The perpetrator is Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old Muslim American citizen of Arab descent, born and raised in Texas (lived in Pasadena currently). He served in the AMERICAN military for TEN YEARS as a human resource specialist and information technology specialist that was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. He quickly rose in ranks to Staff Sergeant and then honourably discharged...

(Makes you wonder what caused the switch to flip???) 

He apparently had a hard time maintaining relationships, with two failed marriages and two daughters when he committed this atrocity. It is noted that his ex-wife's current husband DID note that he HAD converted to Islam and was showing very erratic behaviour in the months leading up to the attack.

It's kinda scary that when his vehicle was searched, the FBI recovered 2 pipe bombs inside coolers, rigged to explode by a remote, which fortunately was found also in the truck. 

(Plz note other explosive devices were found elsewhere in the French Quarters that are believed to have been placed there by someone other than the driver!!!). 

They discovered more firearms in the vehicle as well. The crazy thing is this... the FBI is still inquiring whether he was a member of ISIS or not, even though they found the ISIS flag in the vehicle. How is there even a question on the "coincidences" especially since the AirBnB he rented was set on fire yesterday.

Does anyone else feel this is just the beginning of something much bigger??? I also feel this is going to be the narrative for the government to push more agendas that will be infringing even more on people's rights... far more than they already have been. 

It is not a safe world anymore... and I am saying that as a Canadian. I fear for the American people; every single one of them. My son lives down in the USA, my beloved and family lives down there... our first world countries are being destroyed right before our very eyes. The tensions are soooo high, something's gotta break; and it terrifies me what that truly means for those I love, those I know and even those I don't really know.

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people???
