When Will This Stop Being a Thing???

Good Afternoon my Lovies. I hope you all had a great day, and hopefully on your way home from work. It's been a weird ass kinda day for me and I am finally taking the time to sit back and write.

Before I begin writing what is on my mind, I would like to wish a Blessed Christmas to all my (Greek) Orthodox friends and family...

Καλά Χριστούγεννα

The topic on my mind today is something that really irks me, and I feel I need to express it AGAIN, which really surprises me, but shouldn't really at this point. See, I have friends and family who come in all shapes, sizes, colours, races and anything else you can think of; so talking about this, is very close to my heart.

I have friends who are gym buffs... I mean, work out everyday, at least once a day. They are fit and really work on their physique and I admire their drive. I also have friends who are naturally on the thinner side and have a great build, thanks to the genetics they were born with; while others I know are a bit chunkier. I even have friends who are obese. I do NOT discriminate against any of them, because I was once a very thin and fit woman... NOW??? Not so much!!!

The one thing that boggles my mind is hearing how certain people are constantly bashing others, having not clue why or the circumstances causing another to look the way they do... Not that it really is any of their business anyways!

I got into an argument of sorts with someone a little while ago, who thought calling people on the larger side "whales". I am sorry, but I don't tolerate that shit. This was coming from a person who is very fit, and clearly not suffering from any sort of ailments ... you know how I know that?

They wouldn't have said a fkn thing, if they did because a lot of people who have more weight and do eat healthy and do as much exercise as they can, are the way they are; thanks to medications or medical conditions they have... not that they chose to have them!!!

I also have a major disdain for people, particularly women (I find do this), who constantly feel the need to bash other women and their looks. See, I have a lot of guy friends, and a few of them post pictures of women who are in incredible shape. You know there is going to be an ignorant comment from someone at some point; but I never understood why. It takes countless hours to achieve that build of body... the discipline that is needed to maintain it is incredible. I have mad respect for women (and men) who can do that.

Maybe it is just me, but I feel people who constantly have to degrade people; either have a serious hate for themselves or simply love being bullies. People already put so much pressure on themselves, do they really need to be bashed from their peers??? How about loving people for who they are... not what they look like...

JUST A THOUGHT!!!
