You Past is NOT a Prison Sentence!!!

Page 28 of 365. Good Evening my Lovies. I hope your day treated you well. Me? It was another casual day. I honestly didn't want to get out of bed, but when I don't, I end up feeling worse the next day.

I am grateful the wind has calmed down and the temp hasn't been too bad, however; the warnings have just been issued that an Alberta clipper is headed this way for tonight and tomorrow.

Am I the only one who loves the beautiful, white snow; making the world so serene, blanketed with peace???

This blurb isn't going to be a long one, as I really don't have a topic on my mind that is super important to express at the moment...

You know how some people are asked if they has the chance, would there be anything they would change in their past, what would that be??? Many people mention things that they have done that have ended up with disastrous results; often feeling guilt or regret. I am not like that though...

Maybe I just view things in a weird way, but it is my philosophy that things were only a mistake if you did NOT learn from them.

That doesn't mean that I went about things the right way, nor that I didn't hurt people... It means I committed an act that needed correcting. Apologizing for the pain it had caused and move forward from it.

Your past is not a prison sentence; but it also isn't something you personally should forget neither.

I guess the thought process behind this blurb today, is this... People need to respect their pasts for what it was. Yes, you need to be accountable for your actions, but only YOU are responsible for remembering what the lesson was. Erasing or altering the past is NOT the answer.

Our pasts are our pasts, and none of us live there anymore, so throwing that in people's faces is simply a reflection of the person who can't get "over" it.

This kinda brings up political stuff too, in the sense, taking down statues, burning flags and books, changing the names of places, streets and buildings is NOT going to erase the history (as despicable as some of it is). What it IS going to do is set future generations to repeat the same "mistakes" because people eradicated it from history books and from society in general!!!

I think all of us need to respect our own personal pasts/histories. We need to accept what the past was, learn from the despicable historical acts of people all over the world so they are not repeated. I know I don't want our world going backwards and I definitely don't want the idiots in charge to allow society to slip back into the dark ages (whatever "DARK" represents to you). All I ask is this...

RESPECT THE PAST FOR WHAT IT IS... REMEMBER AND RECTIFY!!!
