Why? Seriously, WHY?
Good Evening my Lovies. I hope you all had a good day, and to those who had a tough one, I send my hugs and love.
Today is my maternal auntie's birthday. I call her my "MUM". I know this sounds weird, but give me a sec to explain... I have "the woman who spat me out" (she's not deserving of the title "Mother"); then we have the woman who adopted me. We had, and continue to have, a rocky, tiptoe-on-glass kinda relationship; BUT I DO refer to her as "Mom" or "Mother".
So then the question is probably WHY do I call my auntie my "Mum"??? It's fairly simple. She's been nothing but supportive, loving and genuinely EVERYTHING a mum should be.
This is NOT the only reason I'm writing this tonight though...
A bit of conflict has risen due to the fact that I call her that, and truly feel that she is my "mum". It has brought on jealousy, (which i find a wasted emotion)... from the cooter shooter AND from my cousin. I don't understand the bullshit.
First, why would anybody, especially a daughter, be jealous? The more people to love someone, the better, no???
Second, the woman who spat me out, went onto my Mum's social media to publicly berate her, literally trying to claim me like I was some sort of property to be owned.
Personally, I've lived life with the IDGAF mentality. I will call people by the title they are worthy (or not) of... no one has that control over me, nor my thoughts.
Grow up and GET BENT!!!
