What Gives You The Right?!!

Good Morning Lovies. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. I am kinda stuck in the house as I generally don't like people, and when I am sick, I DEFINITELY can't do people. LOL

This morning, I want to write about a topic that has been in the entertainment news this past week, and it has irked me quite a bit.

I am going to speak on it... I do not know these celebrities personally, so I am going to speak on this as a whole... It's a very personal journey and I don't think ANYONE has the right to enforce their beliefs or choices on anyone...

READY???

I am talking about Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO ( Jason DeFord and Alisa DeFord). They have been very open about their personal lives, and although some may say they overshare, that is their choice to make and I am sure they are learning lessons as they go; both good and bad. They have recently been talking about their desire to have a child of their own, and their struggles along the way.

Many people have been spewing off that they are two people who definitely should not bring a child into the world. One because of Jelly's weight and Bunnie's previous lifestyle; many feeling they will be unfit parents. Others, mostly women, say that Bunnie cannot get pregnant is a result of her own choices; whether it be body modification surgeries or her choses in life.

JUDGEMENTAL MUCH???

Before I respond here, there have been sooooo many people telling them that they shouldn't have children because of their lifestyle, etc. Yet they are raising their daughter Bailee, no problem. This is where I am perturbed with people and their opinions... AND where they can shove them!!!

People have the audacity to tell them that they should ADOPT, as their are many children that need parents... UMMMMM, the same people who say they are unfit to be parents... their lifestyle is no good for children??? STFU!!! Kindly from an adoptee of a woman who could not bear her own children, and a mother of my own biological children.

Now, if anyone would listen to what Bunnie has explained... She was going through IVF because of all the medical issues she has, many of which women can relate too. She has had mutiple miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, as well as having endometriosis.

They have been on the IVF journey, and I am sending all the love and positivity to them on their journey; hoping they will have their own bundle of joy one day in the near future; but they are also being realistic and considering surrogacy.

I am going to end this blurb with my own personal thoughts... not on Bunnie and Jelly... but on this type of situation, in general.

I do NOT understand how anyone feels it is their right to tell anyone they shouldn't have their own child. As an adoptee, I can tell you, it is NOT all it's cracked up to be. Sure, there are several cases where kids may have good lives and beautiful futures; but those are usually the only stories that people focus on... no one wants to see the millions of kids (now adults) who have insufferable emotional, mental, psychological trauma as a result of being an adoptee.

If  you can't be there to encourage and support a couple who wants nothing more than what should come naturally to them; then piss off and leave spaces open for people who genuinely care and support them.

I guess that is all I have to say on this topic. Stay safe. Stay warm/cool. Be well. Be blessed. Most of all, Be LOVED!!!
