Say What Now???


I know... I am contradicting the picture, but who would I be, if I kept my mouth shut on such a sensitive subject??? 

I have never been one to shy away from voicing my opinion, and I sure as hell am not going to stop now...

I was just scrolling through social media when I landed on an article that 

BLEW MY MIND!!!

I cannot find the link right now; if I do find it, I will add it to this blurb at a later time... basically, if you are Canadian, more specifically from Ontario, generally in Toronto, Ontario or the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)... this is something you should all be reading up on.

Black Mandated Shelters!!! (Read article here)

There is an organization called B3... well city council has passed it, and now they are creating BLACK MANDATED HOMELESS SHELTERS, where everyone from the staff to the residents are Black or of African descent... People are sending in applications, and according to the government, they do not have to have any experience to run a shelter... 

(I am trying to bite my tongue... but isn't this screaming a major event that happened in the early 1940's???)

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK???

NO, this is not a racist blurb... This is something that is going to go very wrong, very fast. There are millions of people who are displaced or homeless; it has nothing to do with skin colour. When are people going to see that the only race that matters is the HUMAN race?!! Homelessness doesn't discriminate... it doesn't choose to attack people based on the colour of their skin.

People have fought for generations to be considered equal... people of every colouor on the "wheat" scale. No race/culture is without horror stories about their ancestors' hideous upbringings... slavery, maiming, abused, etc 

(Don't get it twisted, I am not dismissing nor minimalising anything anyone has endured... I am simply pointing out that EVERYONE'S ancestors suffered in one way or another)!!!

It is amazing how the government is constantly putting a smokeshow up, hiding what they are truly up to. How do they think this is going to play out??? 

This is gonna go one of two ways... People who are able to use these shelters are going to feel like they are being seen and heard; that they are being helped; but in the same breath, this whole scenario speaks of segregation on a whole new level. Isn't this racial profiling at it's best???

People can view this blurb anyway they want to. I am simply seeing how I view things and how this is getting dangerously close to history repeating itself because people chose to NOT learn from it... wiping out history by changing names of places, breaking down statues, etc... does not erase what happened... I see it happening again, but on a world level now.

If they are creating "Black Only" shelters, there is going to be fight back from Caucasians, Asians, Hispanics, East Indians, (and those are just a few). The city council of Toronto has officially just erased all the work of equality... decades of work down the tubes... for what???

My final question is this...

HOW COME NO ONE KNEW ABOUT THIS BEING PUT IN MOTION??? No one I know knew about this. No average, every day Canadian citizen knew about this, nor had a say in this. When you have a sneaky deceptive government pulling this shit, makes you wonder who they'll "attack" with their side projects next?!!

Good evening lovies. I have been struggling with something that is very close to my heart. I truly do not know where to proceed next. I'm going to try and make a very long story as simple as I can... I was adopted at 5months of age, (well apprehended at 5 months, adopted at 5 years). There is something that adoptees yearn for all their lives... WHY?  I know for me there were many questions and on my 19th birthday it appeared I was going to get those answers when I met the woman who birthed me. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken!!! I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people???
