When Reel Becomes Real!!! ~ TRIGGER WARNING

Hi y'all. I will apologize now; this blurb is going to be a disturbing one. It's about a recent event that happened... something I am having a very difficult time wrapping my head around. 

(It is not a personal story, nor of anyone I know; but fuck me... it hit deep. This world we live in is f*ckered BEYOND recognition!!!)

Here it goes...

Beth Martin, 28, travelled from the United Kingdom to Turkey with her husband Luke and their two young children. She began to feel sick already on the flight there, initially thinking it was simply food poisoning, but her health deteroriated quickly.

Due to a language barrier, and lack of medical assistance, after 2 days, an ambulance DID come and take Beth to the hospital; by this point she was delirious... This is where the story gets "twisted", for lack of a better word. 

For starters, her husband, Luke, was barred from seeing his wife. (By this time Beth had died, but due to the lack of an interpreter, Luke had no idea, and no one bothered to tell him; to make matters worse, Turkish police came and accused him of poisoning Beth. They coerced into signing a document (none of which he understood, as it was in Turkish). Later he found out the document told him that Beth was declared dead at 9 that morning.

To add the second twist to this already devastating story, once Beth’s mother Luke's parents arrived, they were told a VERY different story. It took hours of begging before the hospital and authorities would let Beth's mother see her. She revealed that Beth was cold to the touch BUT she was on life support, still clinging to life.

DIDN'T THE POLICE HAVE LUKE SIGN PAPERS STATING BETH WAS DEAD HOURS EARLIER, STILL INSISTING HE POISONED HER???

When Beth was officially confirmed dead, you'd think the hospital would have shown the family compassion; considering that Beth and Luke were visitors to Turkey; but that was not what happened. In fact, they were met with anger and hostility. The family was informed that Beth was going to be buried the following day, without the family's consent.

Obviously this decision was met with a lot of resistance. The family, with the help of negotiators (could you imagine? Hiring negotiators to obtain your deceased spouse's body from a hospital??? I'd go bat shit crazy!!!)

They did end up winning, this is where the most disgusting and biggest twist of it all happens....

Luke, Beth's mother and Luke's mother were forced to carry Beth's corpse in a zipped up bag through the hospital, and make the arrangements for her body to return to the United Kingdom. 

(Now remember when Beth's mother went to see her in the hospital, and her body was cold to the touch but she was left on life support?).....

Once back in the UK, Beth's remains were taken to a local hospital and an autopsy was performed. I don't know for certain, but I assume the family, especially Luke wanted one done since a. he was accused of poisoning her b. her death came on rapidly and c. the suspicious behaviour of all involved in Turkey. The results of the autopsy were beyond devastating...

BETH'S HEART HAD BEEN REMOVED!!!

There is no an investigation into her death as there are growing concerns about medical negligence and unbelievable misconduct; not just medically, but also with law enforcement. One can only imagine how this will pan out, considering it is involving two entirely different countries. After hearing about this story, I can't help but think about how this is two movies being played out in real life.

My thoughts, condolences go out to Beth's family and loved ones. Let's just hope justice is served and there isn't any more cases like this. Seriously, wtf is wrong with this world???
