I Refuse to Adult Today

Good Morning Lovies. I hope you have a fabulous Thor's Day. There really isn't too much going on in my world today; all I know, is today I choose peace. 

There is so much wrong with the world, that I am just going to stay in my bubble, turn on the TV and simply watch movies. I have NO desire to know what is happening outside the walls of my home. 

I refuse to "adult" today!!! (Yes, I CAN get away with it... I am a "ToYs R' Us Kid).

People, of course, will find this selfish, but I personally think everyone needs to shut off the world, from time to time, in order to reset their mental health and ease their troubled minds; me included.

It is no secret that I cope with mental health on the regular. I keep it an open dialogue so people don't have to feel it's a taboo subject with me, nor will they be judged if they choose to open up to me. I will be your "safe space" and I believe strongly in the "four wall" policy.

Make no mistake, just because things are not directly happening to you, it doesn't mean they are not directly affecting you. Many, Many people are empaths, and watching the news, seeing mass shootings, wars, suicides, and other tragedies hits us to our core. It's a pain, I don't wish on anyone. 

I have given up on watching the news because it triggers such a depression and rage within me, that I end up having a massive internal struggle and nowhere to release those feelings. This is just an example of why I am choosing not to adult today, and why I am letting you all know, it is perfectly okay to give yourself time and space to shut everyone and everything out.

I am not in a great headspace today; even though I will slap on a smile and reassure my friends that I am doing "fine"... of course, those who know me best, already know better. My mental health affects my physical health, and today it is REALLY showing that.

I need to rest, but I wanted everyone to know, it is perfectly okay to not be okay; and if you feel you need to rest... take it, before you are forced to take it (probably by unfortunate circumstances). I hope you all stay safe. Stay cool/warm. Be well. Be blessed. Most of all, be LOVED!!!

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that.   Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
