What About the Children???

Good Afternoon Lovies. I hope your day went well. Today's entry is going to be rather short and a bit controversial; although, it really shouldn't be...

Over the weekend, there has been soooo many messages and articles written about Charlie Kirk, and how his assassination has turned him into a martyr.

I can agree with that, in the sense, that he was murdered because of his beliefs and opinions.

I am not a Christian, and although I did NOT agree with everything he said, I had respect for him standing tall in his convictions and never wavering in his faith. I  really loved how he DID try to keep an open dialogue with everyone. He didn't simply slam others' and how they felt and what their ways were... even though he would bring his side with facts and truths that a lot of current (newer/younger) society cannot accept as reality.

At the end of the day, what happened to Charlie Kirk is appalling; anyone celebrating over his death, needs to get their head checked; because there is something fundamentally wrong with them. No one "deserves" to die over their opinion!!!

BUT... This is NOT what my blurb is about today... although it IS part of it...

Someone, I respect deeply, and I, were having a conversation about what happened to Charlie and the world's reaction; and a very important comment was said... so important that I feel it needs to be heard....

WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN???

Before I really get down to what I want to say, I really need people to know, I am fully aware of how politically charged the world is right now. I understand how close many countries are to civil wars. I truly AM tired of hearing how people are hating each other over things that should be common sense.

(Okay, before I get all wrapped up in other things... I need to get down to what I really wanted this post to be about).

The shot heard around the world... Is that what we are all stuck on??? Sadly, it seems to be. My problem with that is, what about all the children (yes, highschool students... let's add college and university kids too), that are involved, or caught up in school shootings, on the daily basis???

Society should be ashamed of their behaviour!!! Children... YES, CHILDREN, are being murdered DAILY, yet it seems the news barely gives them a blip on the screen before they move on... names quickly forgotten. Incidences shoved under the rugs... NOTHING!!! Only the parents and close family members left to mourn what once was.

I guess what I am asking is what makes Charlie Kirk's death so much more important than all the lil children we lose? There was a school shooting the very day the assassination happened; where is the outrage on that???

I really wanted to put that out there... What about the children??? The children are our future... if we do not stand up for them, if we don't acknowledge what is happening to them, they will just become lost and swallowed up into this dismal society with no direction, nor identity.
