Good Afternoon Lovies. I hope you all are enjoying this sunny afternoon... at least, it is sunny here. 

It is 22C here, which is warmer than I usually like, but our building where I reside, hasn't turned on the heat yet, so the heat is good for my Ma.

That being said, I want to discuss something that has increasingly become a world issue; and it will only become frightenly worse if society, as a whole, doesn't step up and unite against our corrupt governments!!!

Society, in general, has been failing pretty much everyone these past few years... 

We are quickly approaching our cold season, and my city just voted on keeping 6 LEO to deal with the encampments for all the homeless. YES, it really IS that bad!!! People are constantly complaining that the homeless are destroying the city, that they are all drug addicts, etc. I beg to differ. It is quite apparent that many, many of the homeless are addicts or alcoholics. I am not condoning it; but I am also not judgmental. Many people cannot afford their medication, and street drugs and alcohol is a worldwide way of self-medicating.

Our country has taken away soooo many resources for mental health AND for addiction recovery, those who haven't struggled personally, or been "touched" by living through it with a loved one... I highly doubt you understand the depths of despair these people feel. They are, after all, simple human beings... like the rest of us. Don't shun them!!!

This was only part of what I wanted to say. Let's get back to my actual topic for this blurb....

While our city is enforcing officers to deal with these encampments, whether it is tearing them down, or not... it is not going to solve the ever growing problem. Kind of like plucking one grey hair... 10 more will pop up!!! The problem is the outrageous prices for places to live. If the government wants to get involved with anything, maybe they should step up and get involved with landlords of big buildings like mine... or better yet... maintain city housing, and occupy the hundreds of empty houses that people need so desperately.

It burns my ass that, I have lived in the same building now for 14ish years. I am lucky I am "grandfathered" in; but looking at the prices for rent in this very same building... the same 2 bedroom I have is now double the price +. The greed is insane!!! 

I find it disgusting that there are sooooo many people displaced, forced to sleep in tents (if they can even get one ~ imagine, sleeping in a tent as a home is considered a luxury), on the frozen ground, barely able to afford food, drinks, clothes or anything else, while (prime example), there are at least 12 empty apartments in my building alone. 

THIS SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL!!!

I am still waiting for when the government is going to be held accountable for the way they allowed the city, our cities... provinces, and country into a shit hole?!! They have no problem taxing the shit out of people for the dumbest things... perfect example: rain water run off!!! Say what now??? Taxed on a natural event. How can we get taxed for and "act of God" yet, you are never covered under insurance for an "act of God"??? 

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!

It's a Hide Under the Covers Kinda Day

Page 14 of 365. Good Afternoon Lovies. I really, really hope your day is going better than mine!!! Sorry, woke up at the asscrack of dawn, as I had a doctor's appointment this morning.  Thankfully it was with my family doctor; appointments with him are fairly painless.  Today, however; things kinda went sideways.  I am usually in and out within 10 mins for these appts, but today? I was there for over 45 minutes. Of course, it didn't help that I was puking maroon blood in the office. I know, I don't share a lot of my medical nor really personal stuff on here, but just so you're aware, this has been happening daily since end of May/beginning of June last year. I am what they call an "anemic blood clotter" which I didn't think was possible, but apparently it runs on the paternal side of my family. Anyways, that was the main focus of my visit after that. Tis the Season.... Why I Am Proud of Local Tattoo Shop!!!

  Page 307 of 366. Good Afternoon Lovies. I am not sure how long this blurb is going to be; as it seems to be a topic I have been beating to death this past year. I know it is the time of the year where we switch from Halloween/Samhain into Thanksgiving (in the US) to Yule/Christmas season.  I hate pointing out this fact, but people seem to feel like Christmas time is the only time of the year that they should be charitable...  Is it out of guilt that you are donating, or is it because you genuinely feel you should be helping people??? I AM sort of calling you out because this is NOT the only time of the year that the homeless, or the downtrodden need help. I cannot stand that this is around the only time you will see non-stop commercials/ads or billboards that are asking for help with various charities; also the time we see commercials about driving under the influence.
