Canada... True North Strong and.... "Free"???

Good Afternoon my Lovies. I hopr all is well with you, in whatever part of the world you are in... It isn't excessively cold here; considering I live in Canada and it is middle of winter... It is a balmy +5 C outside, and we are expecting rain.
When we say that Mother Nature has been bipolar the past few years, even being angry, has been the understatement of the decade. I am not here to write about the weather, when there is so much more on my mind, and more important things to talk about...
I think I am finally coming out the other side of this nasty bout of depression and being stuck in my head. It's been a rough one, and unfortunately, those closest to me have felt the brunt of it.
Before I dive into my own rambles, I want to acknowledge that it is the 4th anniversary of the Freedom Convoy that happened here in Canada.
We can never thank our truckers enough. For a moment in time, it felt like our country was united for ONE cause... to fight for our freedoms and rights; the rights the power hungry government was impeding on.
It resulted in some terrifying times for some. It resulted in people in all walks of life, uniting... which caused the government to use illegal tactics. Freezing bank accounts. Locking down everything, forcing everyone to stay indoors. Separating families. They enforced the Emergency Act (illegally, I might add).
I guess what I wanted to get across today, was the extreme gratitude I have for these truckers who risked their freedoms and literally united a nation, when they pushed the government. We didn't initially get the result we needed, nor wanted... and we, as a country are still battling our very own government, to fix what THEY broke, but it was the TRUCKERS who gave us that courage to do so!!!
Many of us are giving up hope on a place we used to have a deep pride for. The government continues to betray it's people... Conveniently forgetting that they work for those very people. Canada is a dumpster fire, and it will continue to be one until this regime (best word to use) is removed, and we have a government that will put its people first and foremost in EVERY case.
Yes, I am fully aware that we are a first world country, who has welcomed people from all over the world, who seek refuge from whatever horrors their homeland has bestowed on them... BUT those very people are now bringing those horrors to OUR country now AND the government is protecting THEM over the citizens of this country. It is unacceptable.
When people say this is a bad way of thinking, and I am racist and all kinds of other shit; these are the facts!!!
I don't give a shyt what colour your skin is, what your religion is, what your sexual preference is. What I DO give a fk about is if you are imposing and forcing your religion on others. Happened to my ancestors, and I won't allow it to happen to me. I will die for it, if I have to.
As for your sexual life... no one cares; as long as you are not harming children and animals; do your thing!!! I just don't understand why all your stuff needs to be public. Do we live in a society where we greet people, saying, "Hi. My name is (blah, blah, blah). I am whatever age. I am female/male. and my sexual preference is..." NO WE DON'T DO THAT BECAUSE IT IS COMPELTELY IDIOTIC!!!
I am going to end this with one last thought...
Canada has become so lax on things that should not be. I don't care what your views of me. I stand my ground on that. It's the same with this trans stuff. As an adult, do as you please... I don't have to have you in my life; that doesn't mean I hate you. I just don't want that in my life.
My issue is forcing this issue on children. They do NOT need to know about it; kids are growing up confused about everything as it is. I could only imagine what my childhood would have been like considering I was a real tomboy. I loved playing sports... hockey, baseball, soccer, lacrosse. I mean, I did gymnastics but that was the only "feminine" sport I really participated in; well swimming too, but that was neither feminine nor masculine. Catch my drift???
I guess that is my rant for today. Thank you Truckers. Happy 4th Anniversary of a movement you started, and the WORLD paid attention. Let's hope something changes soon. Stay safe. Stay warm. Be well. Be blessed. Most of all, Be LOVED!!!
