The ONLY Time You Should Be Looking Down...

Hey y'all. Yes, I am off and writing another blurb about things on my mind, and about a very hot topic on many people's minds...

With the massive dumping of snow (at least in my part of the world), I can't help but think of all the homeless. I have a ton of mixed emotions when it comes to their lives and what led to the current circumstances of their situation.

I know, a lot of people scoff at them, claiming they are "crackheads", "methheads", "alcoholics", "stains on society", "waste of space", etc. What is more disturbing is the amount of people who often say they should just die.

                             WTAF???

It is not just a disgusting and disturbing thing to say; I can't help but wonder where people's humanity went. A lot of people lost everything thanks to the government... a fucking greedy "business" os what they are!!! Money over people... kill off the weak. It has been sooooo obvious and it drives me bonkers that many people choose to keep their eyes closed to the truth. What's even scarier is these people don't seem to grasp that a lot of them are a mere paycheck away from being in the exact same position as the ones they're making fun of.

Geez, this kinda brings me back to an older post that I had written... It's times like these that are a stark reminder of donations. People always recognize Christmas time as the "Season of Sharing"; and give themselves a pat on the back when they give to a charity. What about the rest of the year??? It's not like homelessness, or domestic violence or addiction disappears the other 11 months of the year, as much as you turn a blind eye to it.

I wish I could do more and help those who are less fortunate than me. I know what it is like to be homeless, only difference between then and now is I slept under trees and on benches; no tents or blankets. Today, and throughout the colder seasons I worry so much about it. People are using propane to survive (I am aware that some are using it for unsavory things too), and this is causing fires and explosions; inviting all kinds of dangers and problems to an already difficult life.

I guess what I am trying to get at, is this... maybe people should be more charitable to those who are in need. The only time you should be looking down on people, is to be helping them up!!! Be grateful for the life you have, giving someone a coffee or something as little as a sandwich won't break the bank to you, but could mean the world to someone who hasn't eaten in days. Think about it!!!

Stay safe. Be blessed.
