Are You Daft???
Page 33 of 366. Hey y'all. I hope this Friday is being good to you. I know, I know. I keep saying I am not going to get into things but to be perfectly honest, I find it is better for me to write what I am feeling and thinking opposed to snapping on people I love... or freaking on people who have simply just cheesed me off.
This blurb is about people who cannot respect boundaries. I understand that everyone has their limits and everyone's boundary is based on their life experiences; including traumas. I won't get into my traumas nor triggers right now, as some of you already know what they are... however, I AM going to talk about things that are way over the boundary for me personally.
I have a HUGE disdain for churches and organized religion. I am NOT saying that there is no God, or whatever you call the higher power of your religion or faith; because I firmly believe there is a higher power. I just choose not to give it a name. This is NOT saying that I will respect you any less for being a Christian or Buddhist or Catholic or Protestant or Jewish or Satanist, etc... I have a profound respect for people who believe and stand by their beliefs. What I do NOT respect is when people try to force their beliefs onto others; or completely disrespect others' beliefs.
I am sure, if you have been following my blog, you know that I am very much into the Craft. I will not say I am Wiccan or on a specific path, because I am not... although I am very much following the Celtic, Druidism and Norse paths. That's the beauty of the Craft, there is no right nor wrong way in worshipping or honouring a higher power or several deities. All I can say, without question is that we honour the earth and every creature within it.
Unlike Wiccans, "Witches" (for lack of a better word), we tend to follow a similar... "Do as ye will, Do no harm" kinda deal, but I can promise you, some of us in the Craft, can very much be grey... we can be either light or dark workers... or a bit of both... Just like nature and in life, in order to see the light, we need to see the dark too. You cannot have one without the other, it doesn't work like that... Kinda like Christianity who believe that there is God and the Devil (which ever terms you use), there is still a battle of light and dark... it's all about balance, same as in the Craft and in nature. I like to call it a "necessary evil".
I guess what I am trying to say here is this... I am really tired of people trying to force their beliefs on me, even if I completely respect their views. I may not agree with them; but I don't hold them against those people neither. I just wish that courtesy was extended to people like me, who are in the Craft, and still very much shunned for our own personal beliefs. Does that make sense??? I have always said, I love to have conversations about religion and various views of life, as long as it is respectful and non-judgmental.
Take the time to try to understand that which you have no clue about. Life is all about knowledge, and from the day we are born, we are forever learning, right until our bodies hit their graves... What you believe happens to you after you pass from this earthly plane, is your own personal beliefs and I honour that.
I have a friend I am fairly close to. I adore her and her husband, and believe me, when I say that we are pretty much on the opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to religion, (if you consider the Craft, a religion); but we very much respect and love each other. We don't bicker about our beliefs and we don't try to force our beliefs on each other. I think its a beautiful relationship and one we both deeply respect. If only the world could be like that, right?!!
Anyways, I hope you all have a fantabulous FriYay... and may the weekend be a great one for you. And for those who believe the groundhog... may it be only 6 more weeks of winter for y'all. Although, if you ask me, Canada skipped Winter altogether this year... but what do I know.
Stay safe. Stay warm. Be well. Be loved. Blessed Be my Lovies
Still waiting for the lord to explain congential deformations at birth. Still birth is God's will?
